Clifton McNair III , son of Mr. Clifton and  Mrs. Judy McNair was born in Lumberton, NC on July 10, 1977. He departed this life on December 6, 2019.  Clifton was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church serving as a member of the youth choir in his earlier years.  He was employed at Food Lion as a Stock Clerk during his school years.  He graduated from Robeson Community College in 1997.

Clifton was well known as “Pede” .  He enjoyed life to the fullest and nothing could compare to his beautiful smile. He was a great guy and will be missed by his many friends and family.

Pede leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife, Dorothy Floyd McNair, one daughter, Lavonda Floyd and one son Xzvair of Lumberton, NC.  His parents, Clifton and Judy McNair, Three brothers ; Rick McNair of Lumberton, NC, Berry Garfield of Lumberton, NC and Terry Barfield of Raleigh NC.  One sister; Cynthia (Ondrey) Floyd of Fairmont, NC; his mother –in-law Janie Floyd of Lumberton, NC; one brother-in-law Norman Floyd of Lumberton, NC and three sisters-in-law; Sigi Smith, Sandra Floyd, Pamala Love; Four aunts; Ivy Terry of Fairmont, NC, Louise Robinson of Raleigh, NC , Barbara (Cordie) Brockington of Lumberton, NC and Teresa Brockington of Raleigh  ; Two uncles, David (Buch) Brockington of Fairmont,  Anthony (Tina) Brockington of Columbia, SC ; Ten Nieces, six nephews, 1 great niece , friends Angelo McMillian and Chris Oxendine and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12 Noon at the New Hope Baptist Church on Leggette Road in Fairmont. The visitation will be one hour before the service , at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the New Hope Church Cemetery on Progressive Road.
