Mrs. Gloria Jean Fulmore Bethea , 73 of Fairmont, North Carolina passed from labor to reward on Monday April 30, 2018 at Regency Hospital in Florence, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Macieo Fulmore and Mrs. Ethrean Page Fulmore. She was born in Robeson County in 1944 and grew up and was educated at Rosenwald High School in Fairmont, North Carolina. She was joined in holy matrimony with Mr. Roscoe Bethea and they shared a very special relationship for many years.
“Jean” displayed excellent culinary skills and had many special dishes she prepared for her husband, family members and friends. Some of her most popular dishes to prepare were collard greens, macaroni & cheese, the Red Velvet Cake and the Pinto Beans cooked in Ham Hocks and Pork Chops fried golden brown, just to name a few. Everybody loved her cooking.
Jean joined Mill Branch Baptist Church at a young age and continued to server there until recently. She was a loving and caring person, who never forgot the teachings of her mother and father to help your neighbors and friends in need. This family was always blessed with enough to share with somebody else. She was a loving wife, sister, and Aunt Jean to the family youngsters.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Macieo and Mrs. Ethrean Fulmore, three brothers; Alexander, Wilton and Willie Glenn; six sisters Jacqueline, Bertha, Brenda, Hilda , Marilyn and Nettie.
She leaves to cherish precious memories her husband, Mr. Roscoe Bethea of the home, a son David Kelly and his wife, Two sisters; Alice (Donald) Wilkerson and Learidean Alford; two brothers, Howard Fulmore and Macieo Fulmore, Jr.; three sisters-in- law, Mary F. Moody (Jack) and Elizabeth Page and Geraldine Fulmore; four brothers -in-law: Prevast Jones, Douglas Bethea Jr (Mozella), Roger Bethea (Wanda) James Sinclair, Jr. : Many neices and nephews and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
