Jimmy Lee Moye “Jimmy Bone” was called home, on December 10, 2019 at McLeod Medical Center of Dillon, SC. Jimmy Lee Moye was born on May 2,1954, in Lumberton, North Carolina, to the late Maggie and Samuel Lee Moye. He was Taurus “The BULL” and, he did not hesitate to let everyone, and I mean everyone know it. After his mother passed, Jimmy, along with his sisters and brother were raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, by his sister Helen Marie Pinckney (deceased) and Christopher Pinckney Sr. He loved his family and would do anything to defend their honor. He occasionally raised a little cane and was afraid of nothing. He was a good-natured person and lived life to its fullest. His faith was very strong and he would often tell others, “ I can tell you what GOD loves” HE DEFINITELY KNEW!!!. Jimmy was loved by many. He was one of the most humble people on the planet. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. He never asked for much…a pack of cigarettes, a beer and a ride to Fairmont, so he could spend time with friends and have a few laughs. He was definitely, the life of the party. He had a famous dance that he would perform, called the “Turkey Butt”. My oh my….it was a masterful!!!. He could shake it down…shake it down down with the best of ‘em.
Jimmy had several jobs through the years and owned a few cars as well. Yes…Uncle Jimmy did have a driver’s license.
Jimmy was a proud Papa of two beautiful daughters and two gorgeous granddaughters, with his former wife, Sara Bell McCrowie (deceased) his one true love!!!
He is survived by his daughters; Bonitca and Shameka McCrowie, both of Fayetteville, North Carolina, his granddaughters; Kiera Riggins of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Yvette Herring of Rowland, North Carolina. Brother; Nathaniel Lee Moye-His Ace Boon Coon and his sister; Vivian Lee Moye both of Rowland, North Carolina; Niece’s Leslie Pinckney and Veronica Pinckney of Virginia, and Rochelle Denning of Rowland, North Carolina; Nephews-Christopher Pinckney Jr., Eric Pinckney and Joseph Kristoff Drakeford all of Virginia.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Maggie and Sammy Lee Moye. His sisters Jacqueline Moye and Helen Marie Pinckney and one of his favorite nephews, Christian “Woop Woop” Denning, his road Dog. They are all together in Heaven.
Jimmy Lee Moye was not a perfect man…but he was definitely ONE OF A KIND. He was loved and he will be forever missed!!!!
