Ms. Julia Ann Fields departed this life on Monday April 8, 2019  at the age of sixty.  She was a patient at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, North Carolina. During her lifetime, she became a dedicated daughter, a loving sister and wonderful mother to her three sons.  She was a caring grandmother, and a trusted friend.

Julia was the third of six children born to the late Mr. Lonnie and Josephine Chavis Fields.  She was born and raised in Scotland County North Carolina.  Julia graduated from Scotland High in Laurinburg.  Her parents took her to church as a young girl and she was baptized at an early age. She was a good person.

Upon reaching the age to be employed she worked in textile as a knitter.   She was one to help out when called upon especially when dealing with cooking or baking. Julia loved to make people laugh and always was first to show a big smile as part of her greeting.  She also loved to go fishing.  She could be seen scooting around town on her bicycle, happily making her way to where she needed to be.  To know her was to love her.
