Ms. Julia Ann Fields departed this life on Monday April 8, 2019 at the age of sixty. She was a patient at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, North Carolina. During her lifetime, she became a dedicated daughter, a loving sister and wonderful mother to her three sons. She was a caring grandmother, and a trusted friend.
Julia was the third of six children born to the late Mr. Lonnie and Josephine Chavis Fields. She was born and raised in Scotland County North Carolina. Julia graduated from Scotland High in Laurinburg. Her parents took her to church as a young girl and she was baptized at an early age. She was a good person.
Upon reaching the age to be employed she worked in textile as a knitter. She was one to help out when called upon especially when dealing with cooking or baking. Julia loved to make people laugh and always was first to show a big smile as part of her greeting. She also loved to go fishing. She could be seen scooting around town on her bicycle, happily making her way to where she needed to be. To know her was to love her.
Julia Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Lonnie and Mrs. Josephine Fields, one daughter Miss Tyisha Fields, three brothers; Lonnie Jr., Linwood and James Lonnie Fields; Three Uncles; Ernest Lee, Albert Jr. and Charles Chavis; one aunt Shirley Mae Chavis Leggett.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her sons ; Aaron Fields of Pembroke, NC , Eric Fields (Tekisha) of Pembroke, NC , Lonnie Fields of the home; One sister Evone F. Swindell (Ricky) of Laurinburg, NC. One brother Rudell Fields of Florida; Twelve Grandchildren : Shavon Fields, Ava Fields, Laila Fields, Aaron Fields, Arian Fields, London Fields, Jeremiah Reades, Zoey Blackmon, De’Shawn Fields, Jace Freeman, Dajsha Fields and Kaylee Freeman. One Great Grandchild Armoni Fields; Five Aunts: Mary Alice Campbell (Prentice) of Laurinburg, NC, Vomina Chavis of Fairmont, NC, Willa Dean McNeill , Juanita Pemberton, Marsha Fields all of Laurinburg, NC. Two sisters-in-law; Mable Jean Fields of Wagram, NC and Faye Simmons of Wagram, NC.; a host of cousins , other relatives and friends.
