Mr. Isiah Purcell, 83 of Salisbury, North Carolina; formerly of Rowland, NC passed away on Sunday February 11, 2018 at the Brightmoor Nursing Center. He was born and raised in Robeson County and received his education from Southside High School in Rowland. He worked many years in the Fiberoptic Industry where was a supervisor and after retiring from there he choose to stay active so he engaged in the “Truck Driving” industry.
Mr. Purcell was affectionately called “Tennie” by his siblings, many friends and nieces and nephews. He was an “action” Guy who loved fun and games. He also loved his family and attended family reunions, graduations, weddings and family activities as his health would allow. He loved his grandchildren with a passion.
Although Mr. Purcell is physically out of the sight of those who loved him most, he will forever be remembered by his siblings: Bessie (Rudolph) Frazier of Columbus, New Jersey; Ruby Purcell of Rowland, North Carolina; Louise (Robert) Blunt of Dillon, South Carolina; Dr. Arthur (Rosa) Purcell of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Delaney Leach of Rowland, North Carolina; his Sisters-in-law; Mary Louise Purcell and Lucy Purcell, both of Rowland, North Carolina; One step-daughter and son-in-law and four step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
