.Jamia La’Shay Hill, “Coot” loving daughter of Craig Hill and Jacquel Hill was born in Lumberton, North Carolina on January 24, 1994. She transitioned to her eternal rest on Monday, June 10, 2019 in Lumberton, North Carolina.
Jamia graduated from Athens Drive Magnet High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Having the desire to go to college she continued her education at St. Petersburg College in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was very proud that she had accomplished her dream to “get her degree”. She received an Associate’s Degree in business education.
Jamia was a loving child with a very kind heart. She felt the need to help others and would literally give one the shirt off her back. As she matured and became a mother she was very proud. She loved both of her children to the moon and back. She was very protective of her children and provided for them as best she could. They became her first priority. Jamia was a person who loved her entire family. She left a lasting impression on family and friends as she demonstrated the commandment; “love one another”.
Jamia was preceded in death by her grandfather, James Morant and her uncle Greg Matthews.
